Lord, what am I carrying?

Proverbs 3, 5-8, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.

Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord, and turn from evil.

It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

Lord, what am I carrying?

Be still.

Let the distractions come and go.

Holy Spirit, lead us as we seek Your face.

Cover us now from the top of our head to the bottom of our feet, and renew a right spirit within us.

I declare peace over your body, your mind, your spirit, and your soul.

I also now declare the heavenly protection to surround you, the presence of God above you, below you, in front of you, behind you, to the right, and to the left.

You are set apart for a time.

You are set apart for this time.

Lord, what am I carrying?

Holy Spirit, as you sift through our minds, as you reveal the hidden things, we declare with the truth of our hearts, the truth of our mind, the truth of our body, that we want to lay it all down.

We want you.

Listen with your whole self, your thoughts, your emotions, your memories, your present, your eyes, your ears, your hearts, and your minds.

Listen, attune yourself to His Spirit.

Attune yourself to His voice.

Attune yourself to the truth.

Lord, what am I carrying?

Friend, as these things come to your mind, do your best not to reject them.

If you sense tension, I bless you to release it.

If you sense shame, I bless you to release it.

If you sense fear, I bless you to release it.

You might be thinking, I'm not sure what will happen if I put down this thing I'm carrying.

I've carried it so long.

You might say it feels like it's just part of who I am.

I encourage you now to trust.

Trust the work of the Spirit in you and around you.

Is what you're carrying of the Lord?

Are you intended to carry it?

Jesus, where are you in this struggle?

Jesus, what are you asking us to do?

Jesus, we declare that we are your sons and daughters, that you've said to us that we are no longer slaves, but sons and daughters and co-heirs with you in the heavenly places.

We have access to you because of your life, your death, and your resurrection.

And so we reclaim, renew our vow to follow you and you alone.

Jesus, we receive you.

Jesus, we believe you.

Jesus, you are our Savior.

And because we've declared such things and we accept the fullness of sonship and daughtership, we declare in the name of Jesus, any form of evil, any lie, anything other than what is true, holy, righteous, merciful, and gracious.

We forbid to be present as we seek the Lord.

Father, we acknowledge that your angelic forces surround us, protecting us, keeping us safe, that we might encounter you fully.

What are you carrying?

Jesus, you are the way, the truth, and the life.

And we want to bring this to you, Jesus.

What truth do you want to reveal to my friend?

Jesus, how do you see this thing they're carrying?

Jesus, what do you want to say or to show my friends that reveals your presence?

Jesus, what do you want to show them about the thing they're carrying?

Jesus, have I owned this thing?

Have I declared in one way or another that I want to carry it?

Jesus, have I owned this thing?

Have I declared in one way or another that I want to carry it?

Or that somehow it's my responsibility?

Lord, am I trying to hold on to what I'm carrying?

Jesus, I want you to have all of me.

And I ask your forgiveness now for what I've been carrying on my own.

Lord, I want to surrender.

Jesus, what emotions do you want me to surrender?

I want to surrender.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as I come to you as honestly as I can, I decide today to give this to you.

Holy Spirit, would you show my friends now a picture, an image, something to reveal to them how to lay this down?

Jesus, you are the great exchanger.

Beauty for ashes, life from death, your truthful love for the world.

Jesus, you are the great exchanger.

beauty for ashes, life from death, your truth, your power overcomes everything.

Jesus, what do you want to give my friend in exchange for them laying this down?

Jesus, what do you have for them?

Are you willing to receive what Jesus has for you?

If you are, I encourage you to say it out loud.

Jesus, I'm willing to receive what you have for me.

Holy Spirit, we ask now that you do what only you can do.

And by your power, you remove what has been held and you solidify what has been received.

Holy Spirit, move in and through us that the word that we read might be illuminated.

We might go from knowledge to understanding and from understanding to wisdom.

Holy Spirit, fill my friends once again.

Remind them this day that what they've received is a good gift of grace.

Your mercy, your love, your grace is abundant.

Psalm 138.

The strength of soul you increased.

Receive now this blessing.

I bless you in the name of Jesus to receive the truth of his word.

I bless you to give great thanks to the father.

I bless you to lay down all your burdens.

I bless you to sit and receive the fullness of the Christ.

I bless you to receive the full power of the Holy Spirit that will lead you in and through all things.

I bless your ears to hear and your eyes to see what only the father, son, and Holy Spirit can reveal.

Friends, I bless you to walk faithfully day by day, moment by moment in his presence.

And I bless you now in the name of the father and of the son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Thank you.
